See how wildlife photographer and filmmaker Josh Jaggard uses composition, weather and light to turn everyday Norfolk wildlife encounters into expressive images.
This talk explores how wildlife photography can move beyond simply capturing a sharp record of an animal and become a more creative, expressive art form. Wildlife photographer and filmmaker Josh Jaggard shares how he turns everyday encounters with Norfolk’s wildlife into photographs that use composition, weather and light to create a stronger artistic feel.
He compares straightforward portrait-style images with photographs that have more creative flair, showing how different approaches can change the mood and meaning of an image.
Josh also draws on his many years of photographing and filming wildlife in Norfolk, including work connected with the red knot gatherings at Snettisham for the BBC’s Wild Isles. The event is designed for adults and young people and takes place at St Andrews Hall in Norwich as part of Wild by Design.
Attendees are asked to arrive 15 minutes early and speak to someone at the entrance. The venue notes that assistance dogs only are permitted, and access companions are welcome free of charge for those who need personal support.
