North Lanarkshire Council's Student Summer Placement Programme offers short-term placements for local students aged 16 to 19. Placements give young people the chance to gain workplace experience across council services and community-facing roles during the summer period.

Opportunities include roles such as Assistant Sports Coach, Health & Social Care support, Clerical/Admin positions and Built Environment (Construction) placements, among others. Placements take place at various locations across North Lanarkshire and are intended to introduce students to different career pathways within local government and service delivery.

Applications open each year in January/February via the myjobscotland website. Interested students who meet the eligibility criteria should monitor myjobscotland for specific job listings, application details and any location-specific information.
