North London NHS Foundation Trust offers work experience placements for local residents who want to gain first-hand insight into careers in the NHS. The placements are designed to build confidence, teamwork skills and an understanding of how healthcare services work day to day, with opportunities mentioned in areas such as estates and facilities, pharmacy and other parts of the Trust.

Successful applicants are matched with a dedicated mentor and given a bespoke timetable for the placement. When completing the application form, applicants need to provide the dates they are requesting work experience for, and the team will try to accommodate them where possible.

The page also highlights NHS Careers Untapped, a free online resource of podcasts, videos and recorded webinars for young people aged 13 to 19 and careers advisers. The first edition includes a self-paced module, and participants receive a certificate of participation when they complete it.
