Shadow a range of healthcare professionals across four days and see how their roles support patient care in a busy hospital environment. Placements take place at Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust runs a four-day work shadowing programme for young people who want to explore a career in healthcare. During the allocated weeks, participants observe a range of professionals working in a busy hospital environment and get a first-hand look at the many roles that support patient care.
The programme is designed for students in education aged 16 to 19. It takes place at Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital, and the Trust can only process applications from students who attend schools or colleges close to its hospitals.
The experience is intended to help students build their knowledge and skills as they prepare for their next steps into healthcare.
Allocated weeks throughout the year
