Training is provided, and you can volunteer flexibly across weekdays, weekends, evenings and school holidays, with travel costs reimbursed.
This volunteering role supports Northumberland Wildlife Trust’s community and events activity. Volunteers help the marketing and membership teams promote the charity’s work, attend public events and fairs, and speak to visitors about wildlife and conservation.
Tasks can include guiding small groups, helping with practical and craft activities, selling merchandise, and running the tombola.
The role is suitable for people who enjoy talking to members of the public and want to build experience in public engagement. Training is provided, so no specific skills are needed to start. The volunteering is flexible and ad hoc, with events taking place at different times, including weekdays, weekends, evenings and school holiday events.
Support includes reimbursement of travel costs, PPE when needed, and the possibility of transport being provided.
