Habitat Heroes: Urban Wildlife Habitat Workshop

Habitat Heroes 2 is a hands-on wildlife workshop delivered by Northumberland Wildlife Trust in partnership with Wild Roots. Participants will learn how human-made open mosaic habitats can support wildlife while improving urban green spaces, and will be guided through practical habitat-creation activities for invertebrates, birds and mammals.

The session also includes pond dipping exploration with Mike Jeffries and a creative workshop making natural cordage from nettles for bracelets or necklaces. It is designed for beginners, with guidance and supervision provided throughout.

Snacks and hot drinks are included, and participants are asked to wear suitable clothing for the weather and bring gloves if they have them.
