Experience Sarah Cunningham’s paintings through a British Sign Language tour led entirely in BSL by Jason Redwood, with no interpreter or voiceover. Explore speculative landscapes, ecology, art history and science fiction across Galleries 2 and 3.
Join Nottingham Contemporary for a British Sign Language exhibition tour of Sarah Cunningham: Midnight Sun, led by Jason Redwood. The tour explores Cunningham’s first institutional solo exhibition and the largest presentation of her work to date, offering visitors an opportunity to engage with her paintings and the ideas behind them through a BSL-led experience.
Jason Redwood will deliver the tour in British Sign Language without an interpreter or voiceover, making it especially suitable for Deaf visitors and anyone learning BSL. The exhibition itself draws on speculative landscapes, ecology, art history and science fiction, and the tour provides a guided way to experience Cunningham’s layered, expressive work and the atmosphere of her practice.
The event takes place in Galleries 2 and 3 at Nottingham Contemporary. Admission is free, though the gallery welcomes donations to support its exhibitions, events and family activities.
