Nursery practitioner Apprentice - Kingsmead

Kingsmead Day Nursery and Preschool (part of Grandir UK) is recruiting a Nursery Apprentice to work at Gordon House, Gordon Road (SO23 7DD). This paid role offers hands-on childcare experience while you work towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification.

As a Nursery Apprentice you will deliver day-to-day care and education for young children, supporting routines, mealtimes, play and early learning activities. The role requires following safeguarding procedures, working with parents and colleagues, and supporting childrens personal, social and educational development.

You will receive on-the-job training and 20% off-the-job learning as part of the apprenticeship standard.

Training is provided by REALISE LEARNING AND EMPLOYMENT LIMITED and includes the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification plus functional skills in maths and English if required. The apprenticeship requires an enhanced DBS check and desirable GCSEs in maths and English (grade 3).

Working hours are 40 per week (Monday to Friday, shifts to be agreed).
