Join a nutrition and public health outreach programme in Fiji that supports local communities affected by malnutrition, diabetes, obesity, and other non-communicable diseases. Working alongside a qualified practitioner, volunteers help with health promotion, free assessments, and practical education around nutrition, exercise, and healthier lifestyles.
The role is hands-on and community-focused. Volunteers may conduct health checks such as blood pressure, blood glucose, and waist-to-hip measurements, support individual and group consultations, help prepare educational talks and awareness campaigns, and contribute to data entry and programme planning.
Activities can take place in villages, schools, community centres, corporate settings, clinics, and resort-based outreach work around Nadi and Lautoka. This programme is suited to recent graduates, qualified professionals, or people studying nutrition, dietetics, healthcare, or natural health.
Volunteers should be flexible and community-minded, as tasks can change depending on local needs. Accommodation, meals, local transport, and in-country support are included, making it a structured way to gain field experience while contributing to public health work in Fiji.
