Create an original, human-made artwork imagining a better future for the planet, using any medium from sculpture or stitching to graphics and photo montage. Winners could see their work displayed on ad spaces across the UK, with prizes including gift cards and cash for schools.
Octopus Energy is running a UK-wide art competition on the theme of Reinvention, inspired by this year’s Turner Prize and the environmental ideas surrounding the exhibition at MIMA. It is open to young people aged 5 to 25 across Great Britain, and entrants can submit work individually or as part of a school group.
The brief is to create an original piece of art that imagines a better future for the planet. Participants can use any medium or materials they like, including painting, sculpture, stitching, graphics or photo montage, as long as the work is human-made and not created with artificial intelligence.
To enter, applicants must upload an image of their artwork together with a title, a description and their details using the online entry form. The competition offers a range of prizes, including gift cards, cash for schools, internships at Octopus Energy and the chance for winning artwork to be displayed on ad spaces across the UK.
Under-18 entrants need parental or guardian consent.
