OCVS LIMITED is recruiting a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Service and Maintenance Apprentice Technician based in Trafford Park, Manchester (Harp Road, M17 1SR). This is a 3-year level 3 apprenticeship starting on Monday 2 February 2026.

You will work in the company's busy workshop maintaining and repairing the HGV fleet, learning on-the-job with support from the employer and The Growth Company as the training provider. Day-to-day duties include keeping the workshop tidy, using tools and equipment for vehicle maintenance and repair, learning safe workshop procedures, assisting other technicians, servicing vehicles, removing and replacing engine/chassis/electrical/transmission components, and diagnosing and repairing faults.

Training includes time off the job to study the Heavy vehicle service and maintenance technician (level 3) standard and develops skills required to progress to roles such as HGV MOT Tester. The apprenticeship is paid: £15,704 in the first year (apprentice rate), 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, exact shifts TBC).
