Apply NowWant to shape how food, climate and human rights are tackled globally? Share your lived experience and ideas with the UN Special Rapporteur, influence the 2026 Human Rights Council report and help create an easy-read version for children. Deadline: 16 March 2026.
This is a call for input from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) for a report on food systems, human rights and climate change. The Special Rapporteur on climate change invites ideas and lived experience about how food is produced, processed, transported, distributed and consumed, and how these practices affect climate and human rights.
Responses will help inform a report to the UN Human Rights Council in June 2026 and an easy-read version for children. Anyone under 18 is invited to answer the questionnaire (a separate questionnaire exists for young people up to age 25).
You may answer only the questions that matter to you and can include drawings, poetry or written reflections. Submissions must not include identifying information. The questionnaire and resources are available in English, French and Spanish.
To contribute, download or complete the questionnaire and send your answers as a Word document (or PDF/Excel) by email to hrc-sr-climatechange@un. org with the subject line: "Report on transforming food systems to protect human rights and prevent climate harm".
Creative files should not exceed 20MB. Consent options are provided on the questionnaire and respondents under 18 should ensure a parent/guardian agrees where required.
