Want a taste of college-level STEM? Join Trinity’s on-campus TY strand to explore Physics or Calculus, study on Trinity College Dublin grounds, build confidence, independence and a standout TY portfolio while connecting with academics and hands-on learning.

Trinity Walton Club’s TY ON-CAMPUS (Fridays) strand is a university-style STEM experience designed for Transition Year students who want to deepen their understanding of science and mathematics. Delivered on campus at Trinity College Dublin, it gives participants the chance to experience college-level learning in a supportive environment while building confidence, independence, and a strong TY portfolio.

Students choose one of two specialised modules: Physics (Mechanics) or Calculus. The programme includes weekly three-hour Friday sessions that combine online readings and lecture videos with on-campus lectures and tutorials.

The learning is designed to be challenging and practical, helping students explore core ideas through structured study, guided discussion, and applied problem-solving. Assessment is built into the course through continuous evaluation and term exams, with personalised feedback throughout.

Participants also work towards a grade and certificate, making the programme a strong addition to a student’s academic record and a useful step for anyone considering further study in STEM.
