Want a head start on uni-level STEM? Join Trinity Walton Club’s TY On‑Campus to explore Chemistry or Engineering, build practical skills, meet academics, and strengthen your TY portfolio—experience hands‑on labs, real projects and a clearer route to university and STEM careers.

TY On-Campus (Saturdays) is a 20-week STEM experience delivered by Trinity Walton Club at Trinity College Dublin for Transition Year students. It is designed to stretch learners beyond the school curriculum and give them a taste of university-level STEM study while supporting the development of a strong TY portfolio.

Participants choose one of two specialist modules: Chemistry or Engineering. The Chemistry route explores organic chemistry, biomolecules, polymers, and green chemistry, while the Engineering route focuses on design, electronics, circuits, prototyping, and hands-on problem-solving challenges.

Sessions take place on Saturdays and combine on-campus learning with online readings, lecture videos, tutorials, and practical activities. Students complete continuous assessment and term exams, and receive personalised feedback throughout the programme.

A grade and certificate are awarded on completion, helping students build confidence, skills, and clearer ideas about future study and career pathways in STEM.
