Apply NowKeen to sharpen your argument and stand out on UCAS? Join Oxford Scholastica's online Politics & Debate summer course: explore political theory, design a party, build public-speaking and debating skills, and connect with tutors to boost your uni/career profile.
This is an online summer Politics & Debate course for 12-014 year olds run by Oxford Scholastica Academy. The programme introduces key concepts in politics, international relations and government while developing debating and public-speaking skills.
Students will explore political theory, study different political systems and participate in activities such as designing a political party, writing campaign speeches and taking part in a Q&A-style campaign session.
Live tutorials are delivered via Zoom by tutors typically from Oxford and Cambridge and include masterclasses, debates and guided feedback. The course is project-based: students practise British Parliamentary debate, analyse leadership and identity in politics, and engage with real-world political challenges.
Class sizes are limited (max 15) to support personalised feedback.
On successful completion students receive an Oxford Scholastica Academy Certificate of Achievement, and outstanding participants may receive a personalised Letter of Recommendation. The course also offers a Graduation event (recording provided) and eligibility to apply for the Academy's Ambassador Programme.
