Help bring mental health support into Merseyside communities by supporting talks in schools, youth clubs and community spaces, or running creative or wellbeing activities at events. You could also represent the charity at fairs and community days, or help set up and pack down.
Community and Events Volunteers support Open Door Charity’s outreach and events work, helping the organisation bring its values to life in the local community. The role suits people who enjoy being hands-on, social, and public-facing, and who want to contribute to positive change in young people’s mental health.
Volunteers may help with talks in schools, youth clubs and community spaces, run creative or wellbeing activities at events, or represent Open Door at fairs and community days. Other tasks can include photography or videography for marketing, supporting information stalls, handing out flyers, collecting feedback, greeting visitors, and helping with simple admin, set-up and pack-down on event days.
This is an episodic volunteering role, so opportunities may be short-term or irregular rather than tied to fixed weekly sessions. Open Door Charity works with young people in Merseyside, and the role is flexible for volunteers who want to get involved in a practical, public-facing way without needing similar experience beforehand.
