This is an interactive, student-led workshop exploring how opportunity, power, and belonging shape experiences in STEM and policy. Participants will examine how everyday behaviours, decisions, and systems influence who is heard, supported, and able to succeed, and consider practical actions to create more inclusive learning and working environments.
Attendees will gain practical tools to navigate team and workplace challenges, insight into how routine decisions impact equity and opportunity, and confidence to contribute and be heard in group settings. The session includes contributions from external speakers (TBC) with professional and lived experience across STEM and policy.
The event is intended for UCL students (all levels), academic and professional staff, and anyone with an interest in STEM, policy, and inclusive leadership. Tickets are limited due to venue capacity; interested participants should reserve a place via the Eventbrite event page.
