Amey is recruiting an Operation Assistance Apprentice to join its Traffic Management account based at the Ecclesfield Depot (S35 9YR) in Sheffield. This is a hands-on, operational business support role working Monday-Friday, 07:00-15:00 (40 hrs/week), with a starting salary of £25,913 per annum and an apprenticeship start in April 2026.
You will be enrolled onto the Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship (approx. 21 months) and supported by Amey's partnered training provider with one-to-one support, e-learning and workplace mentoring.
Typical duties include maintaining and updating management information systems, team administrative tasks, distributing information internally, producing reports, raising purchase orders and assisting with planning work schedules and health & safety compliance.
Applications are shortlisted on submitted certificates, predicted grades or achieved qualifications, and any offer is conditional on meeting academic and background checks. Candidates must hold a UK driving licence, meet DBS requirements, be prepared for random drug and alcohol testing, and achieve required literacy/numeracy assessments if GCSEs/functional skills are not already held.
