Orkney Tunes with Louise Bichan

This online workshop explores Orkney tunes with Louise Bichan, with a focus on learning by ear and getting comfortable with the style and ornamentation that bring the music to life. The session is aimed primarily at fiddle players, but all melody instruments are welcome, and the material is pitched at intermediate and advanced level musicians.

Participants will work through a tune or two in a relaxed, practical way, then discuss the musical character behind the tunes so they can be played more confidently and authentically. Registered students receive the class recording afterwards, making it suitable for anyone who wants to revisit the material or cannot attend live.
