The ORT JUMP Alternative Work Experience Week is a one-week, in-person programme for Year 12 students designed to build core employability skills. The event will take place in London in July 2026 in a professional office setting.
Students begin the week by visiting an assigned workplace in small groups where they are set a team challenge and supported by industry experts. After workplace visits, participants reconvene with the whole cohort at a central London venue for further work-related challenges, training sessions and guided discussions.
The programme focuses on practical, workplace-relevant activities to help students develop confidence and workplace awareness. Key employability skills covered include teamwork, researching, IT, networking, creative thinking, negotiating and presenting.
Applications will open in 2026 for the July 2026 intake; selected participants must be able to attend the full week in person. For more information, email Julie Cohen at jump@ortuk. org.
