Otis' UK Apprenticeship Programme is a 3½-year ‘earn whilst you learn’ training route for aspiring lift and escalator engineers. Apprentices split their time between working with field engineers and off-the-job technical training, including in-house sessions and an induction week (example: Leicester).

The programme leads to an NVQ Level 3 lift qualification, escalators/stairlifts accreditation and a technical certificate, and is designed to develop hands-on skills across a wide range of equipment. Otis emphasises ongoing career development and support after qualification.
