Want to lead stage productions and hone professional theatre skills? Join Oundle's Drama Scholarship to build performance and technical expertise, shape bespoke pathways, access the Stahl Theatre and studios, and take creative leadership that boosts your uni or theatre career.

Oundle School offers merit-based Drama Scholarships at both 13+ and 16+ entry aimed at nurturing skilled performers and theatre technicians. The programme centres on the Scholars’ Studio and provides a bespoke pathway for each Scholar, opportunities to perform and lead productions at the Stahl Theatre, and access to studios, rehearsal space and technical support.

Drama Scholars take a creative lead in programming and are expected to contribute to the School’s theatrical life.

Scholars benefit from workshops, masterclasses and lectures with professional theatre practitioners, funded annual Scholars’ Away Day, free tickets to School and touring productions, and a dedicated Teams channel for theatrical opportunities. There is also the Wontner Scholarship recognising a pupil pursuing drama at A level who has demonstrated sustained excellence.

Assessment involves a morning at Oundle working on the Stahl stage: acting candidates take part in a workshop and perform a short speech, technical candidates present a portfolio, and all shortlisted applicants attend an interview. Applicants are encouraged to apply for means-tested bursaries where required.
