Mercer & Hole LLP's Outsourcing Higher Apprenticeship Programme (Rickmansworth) is a structured two-year higher apprenticeship starting September 2026. The programme offers on-the-job training within the Outsourcing/Virtual Finance team alongside study for the Professional Diploma in Accounting (Level 4 AAT).

The role is office-based at Trinity Court, Church Street, Rickmansworth (WD3 1RT).

Apprentices will work Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:30 (37 hours 30 minutes per week), gaining hands-on experience with a variety of clients and increasing responsibilities over time. Training is delivered by KAPLAN FINANCIAL LIMITED and combines workplace learning with time off to study, college attendance and online classes.

Core learning outcomes include financial information analysis, application of accounting principles, use of accounting software, data interpretation and communication of financial information.

Applicants must hold A Levels (minimum UCAS points of 112) and, if lacking Level 2 English or maths, must obtain these during the apprenticeship. Mercer & Hole offers development opportunities, support from senior staff, and progression routes on completion (for example progression towards ACA/ACCA).

Two positions are available for the September 2026 start.

  • A Level in any discipline (minimum UCAS points of 112).
  • Apprentices without Level 2 English or maths (GCSE or equivalent) must achieve these prior to completion of the apprenticeship.
  • Willingness/ability to work on-site in Rickmansworth (Trinity Court) and commit to the full two-year higher apprenticeship programme.
