Curious how economies and markets really work? Join Oxford Scholastica Academy’s live online course to explore micro and macro economics, trade, fiscal and monetary policy, and AI’s role in the modern economy. Build analytical skills, debate real-world issues and boost your university or career prospects.

Oxford Scholastica Academy’s Online Economics & Finance Course is a live, online summer school for young people interested in economics, markets and finance. Taught via Zoom in small classes, the programme introduces key ideas in microeconomics and macroeconomics, while also exploring global markets, trade, the role of AI in the modern economy and the relationship between economics and politics.

Across the course, students work through a syllabus that includes fiscal and monetary policy, market structures, international trade, game theory, investment appraisal and a mock stock exchange simulation. The course combines expert tutor-led teaching with independent study and masterclass sessions, giving participants the chance to build confidence in analytical thinking and apply concepts to real-world case studies.

Students can attend for one or two weeks and join daily live tutorials in the afternoon UK time. On completion, participants receive an Oxford Scholastica Academy Certificate of Achievement, and outstanding students may also receive a personalised Letter of Recommendation.

The programme also includes a graduation event, access to an ambassador programme and the chance to connect with motivated students from around the world.
