Want to tackle real medical research and boost your uni applications? Join Oxford Scholastica's month-long online internship: explore a focused topic, gain research and academic-writing skills, work with peers and mentors, and co-author a paper for journal submission.

Oxford Scholastica Academy's Online Medicine Research Internship is a month-long remote programme for 15-18 year olds that pairs small groups of students with an academic mentor. Over four weekend sessions you will explore a focused medical research topic, learn research and academic writing skills, and collaborate with peers to co-author a research paper intended for submission to an academic journal.

Live mentoring comprises 12 hours across four 3-hour weekend sessions (Saturdays or Sundays). Sessions cover introductions and topic scoping, research methods and planning, feedback and drafting, and final presentation and paper finalisation.

Interns are expected to complete independent research between sessions to contribute to the group paper. The programme is delivered online via Zoom and typically mentored by Oxford/Cambridge academics.

Successful participants receive a Certificate of Achievement and may receive a personalised Letter of Recommendation; research outputs are submitted for publication. Places are limited (maximum 15 interns per cohort).
