Oxford Scholastica Academy’s Online Architecture Research Internship is a virtual, mentor-led programme for students who want to explore architecture in more depth and see what university-level research is like in practice. Interns work on a focused research topic, learn how to investigate and analyse ideas, and develop the skills needed to contribute to an academic paper.
Throughout the programme, students meet regularly with an expert mentor and collaborate with a small group of peers. They learn how to structure research, divide responsibilities, build an argument, cite sources, and refine their writing.
The internship is designed to strengthen academic skills while giving participants a realistic introduction to research in architecture and the built environment. By the end of the programme, interns co-author a research paper and submit it for publication in an academic journal.
They also gain experience in teamwork, academic communication, and independent research, alongside a certificate of achievement and the possibility of a personalised letter of recommendation.
