Observe classes during a normal school day and meet tutors and current students to get a feel for the acting training. You can also join a free virtual event: a focused panel discussion with staff and students.
The Oxford School of Drama’s open events give prospective applicants the chance to observe classes and meet staff tutors and current students, so they can get a feel for the school and the training environment. The in-person events are run alongside a normal school day and places are limited, so booking ahead is required.
Places are reserved for potential students only, and parents or guardians do not attend the event itself.
There is also a virtual open event format, which is free to attend and takes the form of a focused panel discussion with staff and students. For in-person visits, the school provides a free bus from Oxford city centre and Oxford Parkway, and there is no parking on site.
If you are under 18, your parents must email the school to give permission for you to attend alone. The open events are designed to help prospective acting students find out more before applying.
