Oxford Summer Courses' Mathematics programme in Cambridge is an intensive summer school for 16 7-year-olds delivered in small tutorial-style groups. Teaching focuses on mathematical reasoning, rigorous argumentation, and complex problem-solving rather than a fixed curriculum; tutors tailor content to the group's interests and set two pieces of independent work which are reviewed in 1:1 or 2:1 tutorials.
Classes are kept very small (maximum eight students) to ensure personalised attention. Students participate in interactive seminars, masterclasses on critical thinking and collaboration, and receive detailed written tutor feedback.
On completion participants receive a certificate of achievement and a personalised letter of recommendation to support future academic applications.
The programme is hosted in Cambridge university college accommodation (depending on package) and includes social and cultural excursions. Multiple package tiers (Non-Residential, Plus, Superior, Premier) offer differing levels of accommodation, meal plans, transfers and insurance; full details are available on the Prices & Dates page.
