Park Lane Surgery Work Experience

Park Lane Surgery offers a small number of work experience placements each year for students who are applying for a medical degree. The placement is a 2.5-day GP shadowing experience designed to give students a better understanding of clinical work and life inside a general practice.

During the placement, students shadow a range of clinicians throughout their working day and gain insight into what happens behind the scenes at the practice. It is intended to help prospective medical students build a realistic picture of the profession and the healthcare environment.

The surgery accepts up to six students per year. Applicants must be in Year 12 or Year 13 and must not be a patient at Park Lane Surgery. Interested students are asked to complete the application form and email it to the Practice Manager.
