Ealing Councils Park Ranger task days are volunteering sessions to help manage nature conservation across the borough's parks and green spaces. Volunteers work with Rangers and community or corporate groups to maintain and enhance habitats for wildlife, carrying out practical tasks such as planting, weeding, digging and habitat management.
Sessions are hands-on and designed to teach techniques for habitat management while improving local green spaces. Sessions run regularly every Tuesday from 10:00 to 13:00, with additional activities on some Thursdays and Saturdays; corporate groups can arrange bespoke volunteering tasks.
New volunteers are welcome and will receive a safety and task briefing at the start of each session. Practical requirements include a reasonable level of fitness, suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear; all tools and gloves are supplied.
To join the mailing list or find out about upcoming events, contact the Parks team at parks@ealing. gov. uk.
Project Date(s): June 2026
Free to join; tools and gloves provided. Participants should provide their own suitable clothing and a water bottle.
