ParkWork is a regular volunteering programme run by Joe McKenna and Bristol Park Vol Team offering practical training and skills development through the maintenance and management of Bristol’s parks. Volunteers support a variety of outdoor tasks such as weeding and scrub clearance, bench installation, pond maintenance and tree care.
Sessions are delivered across parks in Bristol and are designed to be hands-on opportunities to learn environmental and conservation skills while helping local green spaces. Sessions run weekly: Wednesdays 10:00-12:00 and Fridays 13:00-15:30.
To sign up, volunteers should sign in or register on Can Do Bristol and complete the volunteer form on the Better Impact platform (link on the listing). For questions contact parkvolunteers@bristol. gov.

Location
- Volunteers must be aged 16 or over (platform registration requirement).
- Sign in/register on Can Do Bristol and complete the Better Impact volunteer form to join.
- Individual or pairs of corporate volunteers welcome for BCC Park Staff led sessions; groups of 3 or more corporate volunteers should contact Your Park to arrange a team day.
Unpaid volunteering. Opportunity offers training and skills development (maintenance and management skills for parks).
Free to attend. Volunteers must register on the platform and complete the Better Impact form (link provided).
