Explore William Eggleston’s photographs in British Sign Language on an informal tour led by historian and BSL guide John Wilson. Discover how his use of colour and everyday subjects helped redefine modern photography, with space to share thoughts along the way.
This informal exhibition tour offers visitors the chance to explore William Eggleston: All that goes unnoticed at The Photographers' Gallery in British Sign Language. The exhibition brings together iconic works alongside lesser-known images from a pioneering photographer whose use of colour and everyday subjects helped redefine modern photography.
Led by John Wilson, the tour is designed for D/deaf visitors and gives further context about Eggleston's work, themes and approach to seeing the ordinary in a new way. It also creates space for conversation during the visit, making the experience more interactive and accessible.
John Wilson is a freelance historian who also works as a BSL lecturer and guide for a number of major cultural institutions. The event is a short, free tour with limited capacity, so advance booking is recommended.
