Bring three photographs to print and share in a practical portfolio session led by photographer, director and mentor James Pearson-Howes. Explore what makes work stand out, how to approach clients and handle rejection, self-doubt and creative blocks.
Join The Photographers' Gallery for an informal, practical session on building your portfolio, led by photographer, director and mentor James Pearson-Howes. The session is designed to help emerging creatives find their strengths and feel more confident sharing their work.
James will share lessons from his own career in photography, including the ups and downs of working in the industry. Participants will explore what makes work stand out, how to approach clients, and how to deal with rejection, self-doubt and creative blocks.
This event is part of the Develop | In Practice series, which gives young people the chance to ask questions, take part in activities and connect with others interested in creative careers. Participants are asked to bring three photographs after booking so they can be printed and shared during the session.
