Hear artists, writers and researchers unpack how AI entangles with artists’ agency at a discussion and book launch, then watch Zeno Gries’s Lumen Prize-shortlisted film Gravity Will Take Us All, exploring cybernetics and blurred boundaries between humans and machines.
Join Sarah Cook, Zeno Gries, Charlotte Kent, Alasdair Milne and other contributors for a discussion and book launch exploring the ideas behind AI and the Paradox of Agency. The event focuses on how artists’ agency becomes entangled with artificial intelligence, and what that means for decision-making, creativity, society and the future.
Alongside the discussion, the evening includes a screening of Zeno Gries’s Lumen Prize shortlisted film Gravity Will Take Us All, which uses a fictionalised account of Norbert Wiener’s final moments to examine cybernetics, AI, and blurred boundaries between humans and machines. The event is linked to the accompanying book and exhibition, and offers a chance to hear from artists, writers and researchers working at the intersection of art, technology and philosophy.
