Closes in 29 days

This evening discussion at The Photographers' Gallery brings together artist Sheung Yiu and writer and collaborator Megan Williams to explore Yiu’s book (Inter)faces of Predictions. The conversation examines how faces and bodies have been analysed, classified and interpreted through imagery, and how ideas from face reading, physiognomy and facial recognition continue to shape visual culture.

The event looks at the relationship between photography, prediction and technology, including the role of archival photographs, diagrams, illustrations, texts and self-portraits in Yiu’s project. It is aimed at audiences interested in photography, contemporary art and the social impact of image-making, and will end with a book signing for the published work.
