Fancy seeing how a theatre actually runs? Join The Point Theatre Eastleigh's industry-led work experience to explore Front of House, Marketing and Technical roles, build practical skills, connect with professionals and map creative career pathways-real insight for your next step.

The Point Theatre Eastleigh offers an industry-led Work Experience programme designed to give students insight into how a professional theatre operates. Participants learn about multiple departments (including Front of House, Marketing and Technical), attend talks and workshops, and work on projects with theatre staff, visiting companies and artists.

Placements focus on understanding career pathways in the creative industries rather than actor training; there are no opportunities to perform as part of the Year 10 placement, though learning about technical and production roles is included.

There are two strands: a Year 10 placement running Monday 29 June - Friday 3 July 2026, and Higher Education work experience with varied dates throughout the year for 16-25 year olds. Groups are small (up to 12 participants).

To apply, applicants should register interest by completing the online form (Year 10 form: https://forms. gle/sMBDpXhow9sftSRd8; Higher Education form: https://forms. gle/oXvou2o3QneoHuhTA).

Successful applicants will be notified by the end of January 2026. Placements cannot be offered outside the specified dates.
