Join West Midlands Police as a Police Constable through the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), an earn-and-learn programme where you are a fully employed officer from day one while studying for a Level 6 degree in Professional Policing Practice over three years.

Training is delivered via blended learning: in-house classroom tuition and digital study supported by a partner university, combined with frontline policing experience and practical on-the-job training. The programme prepares recruits for operational policing and offers progression opportunities into specialist units and leadership roles following completion and probation.

The role includes regular fitness, medical and vetting assessments throughout recruitment. Benefits include a starting salary (see remuneration), annual leave entitlement, pension membership and professional development support.

Applicants must meet specified academic and residency requirements and submit final certificates with their application.

For full details of the application steps and the selection process, applicants are directed to the West Midlands Police careers pages linked on the job listing.
