The Political Studies Association’s Annual Lecture 2026 celebrates over a decade and a half of the publication Political Insight as it marks its final issue. The event brings together a panel of academics, researchers and commentators who have contributed political expertise and analysis to the magazine and its readership over the years.

The lecture will be chaired by political writer, journalist and Political Insight editor Peter Geoghegan. Speakers will reflect on memorable articles and stories from across the publication’s history, drawing on themes from coalition government to post-Brexit politics, and sharing perspectives on what has shaped political debate during that period.

The event takes place online via Zoom and will include an audience question-and-answer session. It will also be recorded, making it accessible for those who cannot attend live. The lecture is open to all and is presented as an engaging evening of political reflection and discussion.
