Want to shape politics? Join Dukes Plus Politics Summer School at UCL for 1-2 weeks of hands-on workshops, Houses of Parliament visits and masterclasses with politicians and civil servants - build public-speaking, negotiation and campaigning skills for uni and careers.
The Dukes Plus Politics Summer School is an immersive on-campus programme at University College London for students aged 15-918. Over 1weeks (options of 1 or 2 weeks), participants take part in interactive workshops, career simulations and site visits including the Houses of Parliament, gaining practical insight into diplomacy, policymaking and campaigning.
Sessions are led by professional politicians, civil servants and political commentators and include public speaking masterclasses, negotiation and debate practice, and tailored advice on university applications. The programme offers at least 25 hours of academic teaching per week and practical experiences such as simulated UN sessions, campaign strategy exercises and broadcasting from a working radio station.
Students have the option to gain a UCAS-accredited qualification that contributes UCAS points. The course is hosted on-campus at UCL, London, with accommodation options available during booking and multiple summer start dates.
