Ponds Equestrian (run by Fiona Kashel) is recruiting a Level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprentice to join its eventing and livery yard team. The role involves all usual yard duties including mucking out, turning out and bringing in, feeding and watering, and responsibilities supporting the running and client-facing management of the yard.

The employer highlights excellent facilities and a focus on horse care and presentation.

This apprenticeship is paid and includes on-site training during paid working hours, with day-to-day mentoring by the employer and a combination of monthly online and in-person sessions delivered by Haddon Training. Candidates must hold GCSE Level 4/Grade C in Maths and English (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards Functional Skills.

Hours are flexible with a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 48 per week.

The apprenticeship lasts 18 months and follows the ST0167 Senior Equine Groom standard. There is the possibility of a full-time job on completion for the right candidate.

£8 per hour

Pay & Benefits

£7.55 per hour. Apprenticeship with all training provided on site during paid working hours; monthly online and in-person sessions with Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
