Apply NowWant to level up your creative CV this summer? Join PQA Salford Summer School at Media City: build high‑energy musical theatre skills or write and shoot a short film in five days, then showcase your work to industry and friends.
PQA Salford Summer School runs across five days at The Empty Space, Media City. There are two main strands: "Summer Showstoppers" (Musical Theatre) which focuses on high-energy choreography, show-stopping songs and improvisation, and a "5-Day Film Challenge" (Filmmaking) where participants write, star in, direct and learn camera techniques to create a short film.
The week finishes with a Friday evening showcase (5:00 PM) for family and friends for Showstoppers and a professionally edited film is provided to parents for the Film & TV course. The programme is activity-led and suitable for a wide youth age range: Summer Showstoppers is open to ages 6-18 and the Film & TV course is open to ages 9-18.
Daily timings are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with the Friday performance at 5:00 PM. Spaces are limited and participants are encouraged to book early to secure a place. Venue details: The Empty Space, Media City, Salford (M50 2GL).
