This is a Pre-Registration Apprentice Pharmacy Technician role within the Trust. The apprentice will work across pharmacy departments to learn and apply pharmacy practice under supervision, following Trust procedures and GPhC professional standards.

Key duties include accurately dispensing medicines, producing prescription labels, handling controlled drugs, completing dispensed item checking competencies, and contributing to medicines reconciliation and medicines management on allocated wards.

The role involves stock management tasks such as checking, storing and supplying medicines to wards and community clinics, participating in stock top-ups, and assisting the EPMA Pharmacy team with electronic prescribing queries. Apprentices will be expected to support clinical trials where required, counsel outpatients on medicine use, and train in specialised tasks such as monitoring and supply of clozapine.
