This is a 2-year Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship with East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, providing workplace-based training and the Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice of Pharmacy Technicians. Trainees will rotate across pharmacy areas within the Trust, spending four days each week gaining vocational experience and completing competencies, with one day per week devoted to taught knowledge.
Training includes developing a work-based portfolio, work-based assessments, and assignments, supported by an assessor.
The post is based at either Conquest Hospital, Hastings or Eastbourne District General Hospital and involves cross-site working. Successful completion of the training programme, e-portfolio and the end point assessment (EPA) will enable eligibility to register with the GPhC and practise as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance work, study and personal commitments while completing a rigorous training programme.
