Primary PE Apprenticeship

This Primary PE Apprenticeship with In2Sport is a one-year, workplace-based role supporting PE lessons and after-school clubs in primary schools across the Berkshire/Surrey area. Apprentices will work alongside experienced teaching staff and qualified coaches to assist the delivery of PE, manage groups of children, and support inclusive, safe, and engaging activity sessions.

The apprenticeship includes off-the-job training delivered by C. M. S.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING LIMITED to achieve a Level 2 Community Activator Coach qualification. Apprentices may also study functional skills in maths and English if required and can access additional nationally recognised governing body courses (for example The FA or RFU).

Training is funded by In2Sport and covers coaching, session planning, safeguarding, behaviour management, and promoting lifelong physical activity.

Practical details: the role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (between 7:30am and 4:30pm), starts on Monday 5 January 2026, and pays £11,778 in the first year (apprentice/National Minimum Wage rates apply). Applicants apply via GOV.UK One Login.
