NCC OPERATIONS LIMITED
? Keen to kickstart a career in procurement and supply? Join NCC OPERATIONS as a Level 3 Apprentice: learn on the job and at college, run tenders, manage suppliers and build negotiation, ERP and category skills that boost your CV and career.
The National Composites Centre (NCC) is recruiting a Procurement and Supply Assistant Apprentice (Level 3) to start January 2026. This apprenticeship combines on-the-job learning with formal college-based study delivered by South Gloucestershire and Stroud College (Filton campus).
Day-to-day tasks include supporting Category Leads with tender documents, running supplier competitions, processing requisitions through the ERP, monitoring supplier performance, and assisting with contract negotiations and compliance.
You will split your time between working at the NCC site (National Composite Centre, Bristol & Bath Science Park, Emersons Green) and attending college for off-the-job training (approximately 20% of working time). The programme lasts two years (approximately 18 months of study plus a 6-month end-point assessment) and includes completion of the CIPS Level 3 Advanced Certificate, five module exams and a 3000-word work-based project plus presentation for the EPA.
This role is suited to post-GCSE applicants with GCSEs in English and Maths (grade 4+). It offers a route into purchasing/procurement with potential progression into finance or project management, and includes company benefits such as pension, cycle-to-work, wellbeing resources and recognised qualification support.
