UCW's Project Management Degree Apprenticeship is a Level 6, employer-led degree apprenticeship that combines workplace training with academic study to develop professional project management skills. Over four years apprentices complete on-the-job training alongside modules covering finance, governance, procurement, leadership and professional practice, mapped to the APM Body of Knowledge.
The programme results in a BSc (Hons) Project Management and prepares apprentices to manage projects across sectors such as construction, engineering, information technology, air and rail transport. Delivery is hybrid (classroom or online) with taught sessions typically one day per week during term-time and a work-based project culminating in an end-point assessment (EPA).
Applicants can be existing employees or new recruits. Places are allocated by employers, so recruitment and application processes vary by company. Funding is typically provided via employer Apprenticeship Levy contributions; non-levy paying employers may be required to contribute a small percentage of costs.
