This two-week pre-college summer programme delivered on the Georgetown University campus introduces high school students to core areas of psychology, including development, learning, personality, and mental health. Students engage in interactive classes, applied projects and discussions that connect psychological theory to real-world contexts such as clinical practice, organisational settings and marketing.
The programme offers both residential (boarding) and day options and combines academic sessions with supervised campus life, activities, and excursions. Instruction emphasises critical thinking, evaluation of classical and contemporary theories, and practical awareness of mental health topics.
Students receive instructor feedback, a performance summary, and the option of credit-bearing classes where available. Participants will leave with a Course Completion Certificate, a letter of recognition and an official Georgetown transcript (where applicable).
The programme is designed for motivated high-school students considering further study or careers related to psychology and mental health.
