Know a 13-15-year-old itching to speak up confidently? Send them to Lite Regal’s on-campus Public Speaking & Debate course at University of London and Cambridge. They’ll build speechwriting, argumentation and Model UN skills through workshops, guest speakers and industry visits-boosting skills for school and beyond.

Lite Regal Education's Public Speaking & Debate summer course is an on-campus, face-to-face programme for 13-15 year olds, delivered at University of London campuses and at Cambridge University colleges. The course focuses on argumentation, rebuttal, speech writing and public speaking technique through workshops, guest lectures and practical presentations.

Students give multiple formal speeches, take part in Model UN activities and benefit from industry visits and guest speaker sessions.

The core offering runs as an intensive two-week course (with 40+ hours tuition over two weeks) and is also available within longer 4-week and 6-week options or as part of combined-course packages. The programme combines academic immersion with a full social programme including coach excursions, cultural trips and evening activities.

Residential and non-residential options are available; residential accommodation is on university campuses with meals included.

Students receive detailed academic reports and a certificate at graduation. The course is suited to those interested in studying law, political science, economics, communications or journalism, and aims to build confidence, research and critical thinking skills alongside public-speaking technique.

  • Must show motivation for attending the programme and participate in lessons, meals and events
  • All successful applicants must provide a signed letter of consent from a parent or guardian
  • Students and parents/guardians must sign a Code of Conduct if offered a place
Participation Fee

£5,495

Cost of one two-week LITE Regal Summer School programme is £5,495. A deposit of 15% of course fees (or full payment) is required on application. Remaining balance is due no later than 60 days prior to the course start. Payments accepted by card, bank transfer or cheque. Higher-duration options and combined-course fees are listed on the site (4-week and 6-week residential/non-residential prices available). Fees refunded if place cannot be offered.
