Ready to build games and unlock data skills this summer? Join Vanderbilt’s two-week Python in Action: learn Python basics, visualise data, collaborate on a hands-on project, and present your work - boost your coding portfolio and stand out for uni or careers.

This two-week summer programme at Vanderbilt University introduces high-school students to Python programming and an introductory path into data science through hands-on, project-based learning.

Students learn Python fundamentals (variables, control flow, functions, Turtle graphics), basic data processing and visualization using Python libraries, and collaborate in teams to solve a data-driven problem. The course culminates in a 30-minute group presentation and submission of project materials to build a portfolio.

Participants benefit from university-level instruction, access to Vanderbilt's computer science labs, guest speakers and field trips, and receive a Course Completion Certificate and a Letter of Recognition upon finishing the programme. Both residential (boarding) and day options are available; international students receive visa support documentation and an international registration fee applies.
