Most of the apprenticeship is on-the-job, working alongside experienced staff to inspect precision-machined components, maintain traceable records, identify and resolve quality issues, and support continuous improvement in a safety-focused environment.
The apprenticeship starts on Monday 2 February 2026 and runs for 3 years 6 months. Working hours are 08:00-16:30 Monday to Friday (39 hours per week). Training is provided by Milton Keynes College and leads to the Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician (Level 3) qualification, with off-the-job specialist training included as part of the programme.
Essential entry requirements include GCSEs in Maths, English and Science at grades 9-4. Applicants should demonstrate good communication, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
Applicants must meet the stated residency criteria (three years in the UK, British Overseas Territories or Crown Dependencies prior to the apprenticeship start date).
